Proof of stake, one is rewarded with YEM every month and YEM appreciates in value due to it's demand and one stakes once and keeps on receiving dividends on his staked YEM where as a fixed deposit account, one fixes a particular amount at a certain period of time and keeps on depositing until that amount is reached without withdrawing that money even though one gets a problem in between before the fixed time with a certain interests unlike with Proof of stake hence making Proof of stake far better than a fixed deposit account.

The bank gives little percentage and even fiat money flactuates easily against the dollar. YEM is a world wide medium of exchange but for individual countries there money won't be accepted in fellow countries.
