1Dear YEM Foundation,
When YEM was first introduced, it carried a powerful promise: to provide a blockchain‑based currency that could uplift communities and help people escape poverty. This vision inspired many to join the system, believing in its potential to create financial inclusion and everyday utility.
However, the introduction of the $10 verification fee that was later made an annual requirement has had unintended consequences. Instead of strengthening the ecosystem, it has discouraged new members from joining and reduced activity among existing users. As a result:
-Membership growth has slowed significantly.
-Transaction volumes have dropped.
-The perceived value of YEM has diminished, with many now viewing it as stagnant or valueless.
This fee, while perhaps intended to support system sustainability, has become a barrier to adoption. For a currency designed to empower people, especially those with limited resources, such costs undermine the very mission YEM was built upon.
I respectfully urge the Foundation to reconsider this policy. Removing the annual verification fee would:
-Lower the barrier to entry for new members.
-Encourage broader participation and transaction activity.
-Restore confidence in YEM’s utility and value.
-Reignite the original vision of YEM as a tool for financial empowerment.
By eliminating this fee, the Foundation can demonstrate its commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring that YEM once again becomes a beacon of opportunity rather than a closed system burdened by costs.
We hope you will take this request seriously and act in the best interest of the community and the future of YEM.
Sincerely,
Nowamani Vicent

How do you vote?
This is the absolute truth that the founders need to hear. Many of us are holding YEM while living in high poverty. We are told the system is 'Everyday Money,' but for someone without a job, even 10 dollars for verification is a mountain we cannot climb.

How can the volume of transactions grow if the 'door' to the system is locked with fees we cannot afford? We are ready to trade and build our local economies, but we are stuck behind blockages. Please, make the system accessible to the poor, not just the rich, so that YEM can finally have the value it was promised to have. We are waiting to move from poverty to productivity
