When building roads, several key elements should be put in place to ensure effective road management. These include:

1. *Drainage Systems*: Properly designed culverts, gutters, and side drains to prevent water accumulation and erosion.

2. *Pavement Design*: Suitable materials and construction techniques to withstand traffic loads and environmental conditions.

3. *Traffic Management Plans*: Signage, markings, and traffic signals to guide and regulate traffic flow.

4. *Maintenance Schedules*: Regular inspections and maintenance activities to prevent deterioration and address issues promptly.

Safety Features*: Installation of guardrails, crash barriers, and other safety measures to protect road users.
Lighting*: Adequate lighting, especially on highways and in areas with high pedestrian traffic.
