To ensure that Uganda's oil project is a blessing rather than a curse, the government and oil companies must:
- Implement Strict Environmental Protection Measures: Protect wildlife, water sources, and local communities from harm caused by oil activities.
- Ensure Transparency and Good Governance: Manage oil revenues transparently and ensure that benefits are shared equitably among local communities.
- Involve Local Communities: Engage with local communities in decision-making and ensure that they benefit from oil projects.

Oil is not a curse but it is a blessing for any country where it is discovered. The problem is the people in the leadership.
