This new curriculum is blended, but i think grooming of young champions right from the grassroots on practical stuff in their own mother language could even bring more change. Students spend tons of hours trying to learn english first, then later on learn what could have been even more important. I suggest eliminate teaching of some practice subjects in english but rather local language to enhance relevance and practice. Also, avail resources to enable continuous practice by the young ones, we all know the saying "Practice makes improvements"

The new carriculum is a practicle and hands on unlike the old carriculum that was based on colonial mentality of reading memorising and full of cramwork.

I am in total agreement with the new curriculum because it is student oriented and brings out the real value unlike the old one that was based on cramming.

The Education system is taking different trend whereby the old curriculum is being phase out and new has been put in place. and the new is more of student-centered curriculum meaning that a big percentage of success of this is attributed to the students in terms of attendance, active participation. unlike the old curriculum where students have always been spoon feed and the good thing with new curriculum is the grading there is no failing at every student has to pass but the level of passing differs and the learners gets two certificates at the end of it the one for UNEB and one for industrial training.
in your opinion, which curriculum do you think is best suited for learners in Uganda?

How do you vote?
