Am surprised that it is even a question. Whether one likes it or not, church will always be there because church is the people. so no one is going to church - they are the church!! you cannot go to yourself.

You are right. The social dimension of praying is critical. It is even the most important in any religion. The man is a "social animal". Cancelling the gatherings would mean reducing the social dimension, which would lead to community depression.

Additionally, it is essential to consider the type of prayer being carried out. For example, in catholicism, the Mass is the major prayer because in the Mass, the center is the Eucharist (the bread and the wine which become the flesh and the blood of Christ. Can this celebration be carried out online? No!

By nature man was created a social animal. We need to come together and interact with each other be it in religion, in politics, in business or socially.

Often with many colleagues, they argue that online prayers can replace a congregation physically. I have refused this idea. This has led to alot of depression in communities as it increases isolation from other community members. Prayer days should be moments to renew our Relationship with God as well fellow mankind by meeting physically after a long week of work.
