Malaria in Africa is no longer a problem as it used to be because of the interventions that have been put in place by governments, health institutions and stakeholders who have played a pivotal role in control and prevention of malaria. The fly and it's larvae can be controlled by slashing bushes around homes, removing mosquito breeding grounds like stagnant water, spraying with insecticides, sleeping in mosquito treated nets and education to our people. The sick should visit health facilities for treatment which include quinine, fansidar, ducotecin, chloroquine. Laboratory examination of blood samples will show malarial parasites.
