They are different because a hunter is aperson who goes to the Bush or forest looking for animals and gatherer is the one who collects fruits or food.

Yes ahunter and a gather are the same, because they all go to the bush to get food, but this was in traditional societies however the difference is that hunters only go for animals specifically and gathers get even fruits, vegetables and all edible
