Challenges of Knowing Where to Begin. At the start of a project, team members may be at a loss as to how to begin. This brings confusion with in the organisation and endup affecting it's performance.
Dominating Team Members. Some group members usually tend to know everything and deny others a chance to exploit their mind. Poor Performance of Team Members. Some team members usually give a poor result when given the opportunity bring the team back. Poorly Managed Team Conflict. Conflicts among the team members are at times not handled with a critical mind and a bad verdict causes poor team work.

Barriers to team effectiveness

Although every project team has the potential to be highly effective, there are often barriers that impede a team's achievement of the level of effectiveness of which it is capable.
The following are the barriers that can hinder project team effectiveness;
1- Unclear goals
2- unclear definition of roles and responsibilities
3- luck of project structure
4-luck of commitment to the project work and Objective
5- poor communication due to luck of knowledge about what is happening on the project and individuals don't share information
6- poor leadership by project leaders
7- turnover of project team members when new people are continually being assigned to a project and others are leaving.
8- dysfunctional behavior by individuals may be disruptive to the development of an infective team-hostility.
